What do I do if hours change every week?
We have a mechanism in place to enable you to report fluctuating hours. Simply select a 1-week lag in our set up form and we will take care of the rest.
We are in a Nanny Share with another family. Can you still help us?

My nanny needs to get a certain NET pay. Do I need to do the calculations to sign up?
This is a common situation - simply select NET in our sign up form and we will do all of the necessary calculations on your behalf.
What is workplace safety?
Workplace safety is different than payroll. The regulations vary by province and are often legally mandated based on hours worked within a week. For those of you needing to make these remittances, we do offer a service to cover that for you as well.

What is the total cost of employing a nanny?
The total out-of-pocket cost of hiring a nanny can be calculated by adding the employee’s gross wages and the employer’s portion of taxes. If applicable, Worker’s Compensation Insurance should be added to this.
How much do I save by sharing a nanny?
Nanny share reduces the cost of the employee’s gross wage. The price of a nanny share is roughly 2/3 of the costs of a nanny for each family.
Can Nanny Lane Payroll accommodate a nanny share agreement?
Definitely! You can let us know your default split of hours (i.e., 50/50, 67/33, etc.) upon registration. You can update us each pay period if there are any changes to this, such as additional hours for one family.
Are there additional setup fees?
Nope! There are no setup fees.
